Places I will visit again and again.
"Above all else, this spot is FUN. Famous for their dim sum style of service. Best experience is with two people at the chef’s counter. You should both be willing to grab whatever looks good from the trays and carts as they come around. And order a lot of dishes! They’re small! Reservations are challenging but with a little patience they’ll find a seat for you. Patty, the maître d’ is awesome! Recently re-visited and it is, without a doubt, still one of the best meals I’ve had and pricing is incredibly fair for the quality and creativity. They have a Michelin Star that they don’t tout because they want to keep a fun atmosphere. Every dish is special, but I always get chips & dip and if they have pork belly, you MUST order it. "
"This is a true locals hangout. Plenty of regulars create a vibe that captures the neighborhood it’s named after. The burger and fried chicken are go-to dishes that never miss. Solid cocktails, solid brunch too. This is a great spot to eat at the bar if you’re solo or with a plus one and without a reservation. "
"My favorite Italian restaurant in SF. Never disappoints. This place can be hard to get into, especially as a walk-in, so plan ahead. Located a block or two off Broadway on the edge of north beach in a quiet and bougie area known as Jackson Square. Great for a special occasion or a date. Outdoor seating is to notch. "
"Mezze 🫓 plate, chicken skewer, but the POTATOES are the real standout. "
"Super creative dishes in a fun atmosphere. The noodles are amazing! "
"Located inside the Japantown mall, this is a great spot to grab a meal before a show at The Fillmore. I recommend Tonkatsu ramen and karagge chicken. "
"It's a market and a tacqueria with great burritos. I prefer the carnitas burrito which is easily one of my favorite burritos in the Mission. Head to the back of the store to order your food, then stand in line and check out at the register in front. Your food will be served to you through the service window on the sidewalk in front of the store. "
"Spinnin’ vinyl and serving winos. This wine bar spins records and serves a nice variety of wines. It feels like being in a friend’s living room, relaxed and friendly. Great start it end to a fun evening in the mission. "
"A San Francisco icon, this spot is unique for its warm yet open and airy atmosphere. Great spot for brunch and dinner. If you want a true San Francisco dining experience, this place should be on your short list, just as it is on mind. "
