The casual vegetarian Indian spot in the Haight is perpetually packed with groups popping back pani puri, splitting raj kachori drenched in yogurt, and tearing into chole bhature that deflates with a puff of steam. To round out a dinner order, go for the heartier mains like glossy dal makhani and paneer butter masala. And be sure to cap things off with the spirals of the namesake jalebi for dessert—it's made to order, sticky-sweet, and soaked in saffron syrup."
